Smudging

Here's a simple guide on how to use Sage:

Prepare Your Space: Before you begin smudging, ensure that the space you want to cleanse is well-ventilated. Open windows and doors to allow negative energy to leave the space. It's also a good idea to tidy up the area to create a clean environment.

Express gratitude: Before you begin, take a moment to thank Sage for its magical properties and the cleansing energy it provides, silently or verbally.

Set Your Intentions: Before you start smudging, it's helpful to set your intentions. It can be  removing negative energy, inviting positivity, or promoting healing.

Use Sage to cleanse your gemstone jewellery pieces, enhancing your bond with them and manifesting your dreams and aspirations.

Light Your Sage Bundle: Hold the Sage bundle by the end of its stems and light the tip using a match, candle or lighter. Allow the flame to catch and then gently blow it out, allowing the sage to smoulder and produce smoke.

Smudge Yourself: Begin by smudging yourself to cleanse your aura and energy field. Hold the smouldering Sage bundle and waft the smoke around your body, starting from your feet and moving upwards towards your head.

Smudge Your Space: Walk around the space you want to cleanse while holding the smouldering Sage bundle. Use a feather or your hand to fan the smoke and distribute it throughout the space.

If you want to cleanse specific objects or items, such as jewelry, hold them in the smoke of the Sage bundle for a few moments to purify them.

Extinguish the Sage: Once you've finished smudging, carefully extinguish the Sage bundle by pressing the burning end into a heat-resistant container, such as a bowl of sand or a ceramic dish. Ensure that the sage is fully extinguished before leaving it unattended.

Remember, Sage smudging is a sacred ritual, so approach it with reverence and mindfulness.
